Trouble sleeping? Need sleep help tips?

If you need some kind of sleep help, I know how worried you must be... You are getting depressed because you cannot sleep well, and you cannot sleep (well) because you are depressed...

Yes, it is a vicious circle... But you can break out of it... Are you taking sleeping pills? If yes, don't be scared, you will eventually be sleeping again without them... It takes patience and determination, but you can do it...

Want to get rid of sleeping pills and you need some sleep help tips? Here are some tips that could help - they helped me when I needed it most!

Are you thinking the whole day about not being able to sleep tonight? You most probably do think about it, most people that have serious trouble sleeping worry about it the whole day... What can you do?

Well, try NOT TO THINK ABOUT IT....

I know it's difficult not to think about it, but you can at least diminish those thoughts... By exercising your mind, by thinking about something else that captivates your attention completely... See how HERE. An idle mind it's the most dangerous thing... It can go in circles, obsessing about anything...

As you lay in bed, let your train of thoughts flow freely in and out of your mind. Don’t try to block any of it. Don’t stick to any of it. Try and be aware when a particular thought is monopolizes your attention, taking more and more space in your mind. When such a thing happens, push it away! How?

Imagine a thick broom. Now get a firm hold of this broom and swipe all thoughts out of your mind... Again... And again... And again... Until the thought of the broom is bigger than any other thought. When you realize this, switch your attention – intentionally - on something else – preferably nature. A landscape. But don’t choose someone you know personally. If you feel your thoughts start to go in a wrong direction, repeat the ‘broom’ process.

You can also concentrate on your body. Be aware of it. If you feel any discomfort in a particular place, try to mentally relax and imagine that a stream of light is passing through it. You can even try to energize it by putting one or both of your hands directly on it, without applying pressure. When you start feeling better, visualize your body, from the tip of your toes, each and every one of it, to the top of your head: 1 toe, 2nd toe...and so on. The left foot, the right foot. Then the legs. And finish with your mind... You can repeat this process, as long as you want.

Sleep tight!
